Is being “normal” — whatever that means to you — a good thing, or a bad thing? Neither?
The word normal is highly over rated, and misused. People use it when they want to fit in, or don’t want to seem unusual.
Being different is a gift that we should all embrace. Take for instance, the fact that I drink coffee in the shower, with a ceramic cup, now that’s really living on the edge, and NOT BEING NORMAL.
I cringe at the thought of being like everyone else, gross. Being a little drone in the human experiment never appealed to me, and I’m not about to change any time soon. People are obsessed with being normal. Take for instance the social media giant, fakebook, you know who you are. Your not with the in crowd until you have a fakebook page, and all the fun, useless apps that go with it. Social media can be a good thing, until it becomes so polluted we are wading through what Jane had for breakfast and how many times she went to the bathroom.
The obsession with normal causes people to be less tolerant of each other, and that is not a good thing. Diversity should be embarrassed, and not looked upon as though the person has lost contact with earth.
You just need to be yourself, whatever that may look like.
