Saturday Silliness: Children’s Poetry

Standard

Awhile back I dabbled in poetry just for the fun of it, it was entertaining, and allowed me to think like a child, which I still do on occasion.

EVER WONDERED

Have you ever wondered what toads eat for lunch,
Or why flies seem to like eating poop.
Have you ever wondered why potatoes have eyes,
Or why chickens like smelly old coops.

Have you ever wondered why carrots are crunchy,
Or why cows seem to like wearing bells.
Have you ever wondered why spiders are hairy,
Or why people love cheese when it smells.

Have you ever wondered why water looks blue,
Or why hot dogs taste best in the park.
Have you ever wondered why porridge is lumpy,
Or why bats like to play in the dark.

Have you ever wondered why eyeballs are round,
Or why fingers feel good in your nose.
Have you ever wondered why slugs are so slimy,
Or why puppies like peeing on your toes.

Hope everyone is having a great Saturday!
