Daily Prompt: Call me Ishmael

Standard

THIS IS A STORY ABOUT A MAN named Eddie and it begins at the end, with Eddie dying in the sun.

Mitch Albom, the five people you meet in heaven

I fell in love with this book the first time I read it, and each time after, just like the other amazing books Mitch Albom writes. His writing brings the human experience to a whole new level. Thanks Mitch, I have never been disappointed.

The human experience gets me thinking about my mom and dad, they were happy together for more than fifty years, until he passed away six years ago. I have often thought what it would be like to have know them when they were young, and in their dating years.  They were excited and in love and couldn’t wait for it all to begin. Mom was a school teacher and dad was a farmer and they melded together like peas and carrots.

It’s a rainy cold day here on the coast, but it makes me smile and feel warm when I think about the best parents in the world.

Have a great day everyone…
